Profile:
Tata Auto Plastic Systems (TAPS) are one of our premium clients in Pune. TAPS is currently supplying parts for GM Corsa as well as developing components for a new program. TAPS is a QS 9000 and ISO 14000 certified company engaged in design, development, manufacture and supply of interior and exterior plastic parts to global majors. It is a part of Tata Auto Comp Systems Limited (TACO), the fifth largest auto-component group in India. Established in October 1995, by the Tata Group, it has set up world-class operations for supplying a wide range of components.
Problem:
They have huge transactions, which can be judged from their following statistics.
Items (Raw & Finished): 10,000
Daily Invoices: 4000 to 4500
Parties: 1,000
RG-1 Pages: 2000 to 3000
This is a Herculean task, even after having Oracle ERP. They were using Oracle ERP; which did not fulfill their Excise requirement. Hence, they had to consider Udyog Excise Software.
Solution:
Udyog Excise Software is tested by the industry and got an easy entry in to the system.
However, another major problem they faced was, maintaining two different systems for the same transaction. Hence, they had basic demand of Integration of Udyog Excise Software with Oracle ERP. Since we had integration expertise back up from Udyog Software India Ltd., we could provide them with an appropriate solution.
Technical Clarification:
- They are making day-to-day entries in to Oracle ERP and then they are transferring data in to one specific excel format.
- We have developed utility, which imports data into our package.
- It generates RG page number and serial numbers automatically.
- Utility has inbuilt validation for every entry. In case of any miss match, it will prompt.
- It indicates specific transaction, where a missing field exists and allows filling up that field.
- In the end, data gets transferred automatically and their staff can generate RG-1.
Benefit:
Excise reports are being generated without spending any time. |

Authorized Stockiest of Seamless & M. S. ERW, G. I. Pipes, Precision Tubes, Fittings & Valves of all specifications.
Problem:
They are traders having huge inventory. They purchase pipes in Meters and sell them in different units like Nos, Kgs & Meters. This creates problem while inventory maintenance. If they receive any enquiry in nos. and their stock is in meters then they will not be able to see exactly how much quantity of order they can obtain or dispatch.
Solution:
They are using our Inventory, Order Processing and Accounts as an integrated product and Excise Trading Software independently. We have provided them with multiple units in their sales voucher with conversion formula. Meter to Nos. & Meter to Kgs conversion formula is set, so that they can get inventory in any unit. If they receive an order in Kg. then they can see the available stock in Kg. On the other hand, if they receive an order in No. then they can see the available stock in No.
Their RG-23 D is maintained in Meters and Invoice can be printed in the units they require. They can even have standard rate for a single item as per the No, Kg and Meter. This prefixed rate can be displayed for that particular combination of Item and unit.

Product range: PARI offers all customized automation and robotics systems to industrial applications like; Machine tool automation, Press automation, Welding automation, Pick and place automation, Dispensing robots, Injection moulding Robots, Forging press automation, many customized automation and Robotics.
Problem:
They are into local and export sales. Some of the services like installation, AMC and servicing are falling under service tax. Due to excise, exports, and service tax there was series of export documentation for a single transaction. For e.g. if they receive an order for Robotic machine then they have to draw Excise invoice, Service Tax Invoice and rest of the documents like RG-I, ST-3, Service Tax Cenvat Register etc.
Being a Robotic manufacturing company they had a philosophy of atomization and eradicating unnecessary processes. Hence, they preferred to go for combine solution of Excise, Export and Service Tax documentation.
Solution:
Integrated solution of Excise Manufacturing, Export Documentation & Service Tax Software was given in single window and database. Special customization was done at sales entry level. They had specific requirement of eliminating production entry. So their sales and production entries were connected where in once a sales entry is entered the production entry is recorded automatically. Consequently RG-I has nil balance.
Similarly, special customization was given at sales and packing slip entry level. During sales entry-level link was given through pick up to avoid duplicate data entry. After packing slip entry, following series of document with respect to particular export assignment gets generated.

Benefits:
Had software not been installed, they would have to spend at least 4 to 5 hours to prepare the above-mentioned list of documents. Over and above, keeping a track of all these documents in future, would be a daunting task.
Thus due to service tax software, they get all the desired documents from the software by a click of a button. This helped them to keep track of payment received against service tax bill, wherein same proportion of service tax amount gets reflected in service tax cenvat register.

Union Group of Companies

Profile:
BUI Pvt. Ltd. (BUIPL) & Union Sales Pvt. Ltd. (USPL) are two companies of Union Group. Group manufactures more than 1,50,000 pieces of Lead Acid Tubular industrial battery cells annually. More than 90% of their production is exported to UK, Holland, Germany, Russia, South Africa, Malaysia, Australia and many other countries.
Problem:
USPL is an EOU unit and gives Labour Job to BUIPL. USPL delivers raw material in the following manner:-
- Plates in numbers
- Acid in Liters
- Brackets in numbers
- Covers in numbers
The finished product is received in numbers, as tracking of materials sent and received becomes difficult. Even if tracking is done, then reflecting them in registers is very difficult.
Solution:
Udyog Excise Manufacturing Software is installed at both company factories. EOU reports were set in USPL factory where running bond register was given to keep track of all the sales and proof of export. Labour job allocation was there against material sent and material received. With respect to that, Annexure IV in USL & Annexure V in BUIPL gets updated. Bill of material was set in BUIPL so that input to production entry is done which reduces material from V and RG23-A part 1.
